About Us

Friends and Families was started in July, 2003 as a place for women to come together to talk about life issues, struggles of trying to conceive, rollercoaster emotions of pregnancy and joys of parenting. Unlike many of the larger sites that are run by large paid corporations who pay high dollars for advertising and also dictate the content of the site, or others that are operated by one person who tends to run the show, Friends and Families was created as a place where we give all our members a voice.

We pride ourselves on support and friendship. Friends & Families was created by women who  have a passion for helping women. We have a passion for seeing them succeed at Trying to Conceive,  thrive as pregnant women and become empowered, loving mothers. We have a desire to be encouragers  and treat women with the respect they deserve.  We value our members and want to provide you with the best we possibly can. Our goal is to be the most sincere and supportive site on the web.

We keep our safe as a safe environment for our members. As you will see, most of our forums are set to private. This means that your information isn't out there for all the world to see. We value our members and require membership to access more of our forums. If we suspect an issue, we set out to resolve it immediately. We don't tolerate harrassment of our members from outsiders and do everything in our power to protect them, and you as a potential future member.
