cold pre wash - ensure all the poop is broke up/rinsed off. hot wash, no more than 1/2 amount of detergent you usually use (we always use dye/fragrance free detergent, some just use this for diapers), double rinse cold.

I always did mine the same as Anna Marie has suggested although I added 1/2 cup of vinegar to the final rinse. I found this helped to keep the diapers white, neutralized odors and is a great fabric softener.
